It is just a couple of minutes’ walk from a beautiful beach and harbour, where you can pick up freshly dressed crab and lobster in season and there’s a fabulous craft cafe with views out across the water. You have easy access to the breath-taking coastal path, from which you can walk all the way to St Andrews or Anstruther. A few minutes’ walk from the cottage also puts you in the heart of Crail, with a number of hidden gems providing exceptional food. Crail is home to a number of excellent tourist attractions; why not visit Scotland’s Secret Bunkers, an underground cold war bunker museum housing the BBC studio and switchboard room with two cinemas and a cafe available? Further afield is East Sands Leisure Centre, which offers a free form leisure pool, thrilling flume slides and a giant aqua run inflatable assault course, a perfect day trip for the whole family to enjoy.
