At the end of a lovely day on the beach, head on up for a peaceful night in the three bedrooms, with either en suite or a washbasin, plus a door from each room on to the first floor balcony which has a table and chairs for gazing over the sea and the fabulous sunsets. Outside you have your own terrace with barbecue and also with those tranquil coastal views. For a quiet little beach, take the footpath which leads down the valley to National Trust Ayrmer Cove in 900 yards, or go to Challaborough and Bigbury-on-Sea with your bodyboards, surf boards and buckets and spades for brilliant seaside fun on big sandy beaches. For eating out, the local inn is renowned or a couple of miles away is an excellent seafood restaurant. And you can walk it all off with long hikes along the South West Coast Path – don’t forget your camera.
